Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using OBANO, you agree to these terms. OBANO is provided free of charge as a local, offline password management application.

2. Your responsibility for your data

OBANO stores all credentials locally on your device. You are solely responsible for protecting your master password. Because the vault is zero-knowledge, a lost master password cannot be recovered — not by OBANO, not by anyone.

3. Acceptable use

• You may use OBANO for personal and organizational credential management.
• You may not reverse-engineer or redistribute OBANO for commercial gain without permission.
• You may not use OBANO in violation of any applicable law.
• The optional export feature produces encrypted backups only; never share unencrypted vault exports.

4. No warranty

OBANO is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While the application uses industry-standard cryptography (AES-256-GCM, PBKDF2-SHA256), no software is infallible. Use strong master passwords and maintain your own backups.

5. Limitation of liability

In no event shall OBANO's maintainers be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including data loss — arising from the use or inability to use the application.

6. Changes

These terms may be updated as the project evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
